This week, the most interesting event for me as a want to be data and geo nerd is the “Algorithms for Geospatial Data Analysis” Wednesday, July 29, 201 From 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Civic Hack Night on Tuesday is always a good spot to meet and work with service minded people.
I have yet to go to a data owls event, but they always look cool.
Nerd beat is like Art Beat, but for skill building.
So much going on this week, and most of it at the same time:
Tuesday is a big day. At the MLK library we got Maptime DC ”
Intro to CartoCSS & Mapbox Studio”meetup, at the exact same time , a python dojo, a word press event, and
DC Tech Meetup #38: Women In Tech Edition.
Wednesday, at Data Education DC “Cloud database technology by Snowflake” At GWU
Thursday, ” Playing Nice: Using PMML, Python, R, and SAS for Production Analytics” from Statistical Programming DC. Also at GWU
Saturday, with District Data Labs, Over at Georgetown Downtown.
Lots of classes and meetups going on. Too much on Tuesday, I wish I could go to all of them.
Most of my time “nerding” will be spent at the University of Maryland library. However, if I weren’t there I’d be going to these events:
Monday – Micro controllers mondays with HACDC
