Last week didn’t get to spend to much time going to events because of school work. I did get to go to an event at the Peru Embassy about the work that the ACA is doing. Most of the nerding was done at the library.
Last Tuesday I went to the Maptime DC meetup on DC Open Data, Tim Abdella presented on open data available from the DC government.
One exciting data set that will be available soon is a three inch resolution aerial photo of dc.
Another note I remember was the use of combining two different lidar files to find areas where trees had been taken down, and then to compare that to a database of permits for cutting down trees.
